Katrina Dobbermane’s series Constructed is distinguished by its formal rigor
and consistently high artistic quality.
It stands out not only for its precise storytelling,
but also evokes associations with the visual worlds of Robert Mapplethorpe
and Bastiaan Woudt.
Through a confident, clearly contoured visual language — at times expressed in powerful
detail staging, at others in striking, almost sculptural depictions of the body —
Dobbermane succeeds in presenting the human body aesthetically as a resonant space
between sport, art, and the future.
