Constructed. is an award-winning, internationally exhibited fine-art series that approaches the body as living architecture. Through portraiture, staging and symbolic composition, it explores how the body is shaped over time by repetition, discipline, passion, aspiration and sacrifice.
The series moves between physical strength and vulnerability, control and sensuality. Guided by a choreographic approach to photography, Katrina Dobbermane works with body lines, light, perspective, gesture and symbolic forms to shape a visual language that feels at once restrained and intimate, sculptural and deeply human. She deliberately avoids theatrical gestures in favour of a quiet intensity.
